We were very pleased with the amenities here. The house was clean and everything we needed was already there. There were a few beach toys and pool toys available to use on the property as well as a convenient wagon to pull things down to the beach. We also enjoyed our morning and evening walks in the nature preserve behind the house. We will definitely consider coming back here next time!

The place is amazing! Well kept, directly across from the beach! 5 minutes straight drive to Clearwater Beach area. Far enough from the congestion but close enough to take a bus to Clearwater Beach pier if desire! Alan the owner was AMAZING! Had an issue with payment on my part and he worked with me!! We also went to the flea market which is open on weekends and enjoyed that a lot!!

Location was perfect. Plenty of room to move around and relax in this home. Backyard and pool is very private, and perfect for kids. Very short walk to a beautiful uncrowded almost private like beach. Restaurants, and shops are all right there. The biggest thing was the entire town is exceptionally clean. It is very quiet and peaceful. Everyone is friendly. I definitely would recommend this home to others.

Loved the one story house and pool. The kids could eat on the deck every day. The house had a wagon which really was great for walking to the beach. The bedrooms were nice and the house is very clean.
Although, it could use a few minor updates in the bathrooms like shower heads and one bathroom had a very challenging door knob.
The neighborhood is nice and quiet and there is a nice play ground for the children and a preserve with a nice walkway at the other end of the street.
Any questions we had were answered immediately....even when we locked ourselves out.
We all miss the house already. Can't wait to go back.

This home was absolutely beautiful ! The inside was very clean and updated . The best part though was the pool and spa . We spent most of our time there . We went the first week in May and paid extra to have heat for the spa which spilled over into the pool . We were very glad we did that because it was chilly in the water without the heat . We were about a block and a half away from the beach which was very convenient. Indian Rocks beach is beautiful . Also there are many restaurants very close by although you could definitely cook at home because they have a brand new grill and a beautiful kitchen. However we were on vacation so we didn't do any cooking!

a guest from Fitchburg, WI recommends this vacation rental

This home has a great location and is laid out well with plenty of living areas and room for two families with children. We really appreciate the acceptance of our dog at this property. It was clean upon our arrival and the beds are very comfortable. There are a few minor repairs that need to be done-some of the refrigerator shelves are broken and filter needs to be changed, the light to the fan in the sitting area of the sunroom doesn't work, the fan in the 2nd bedroom (queen bed) didn't work, and the gas grill needs to be replaced as the bottom is rusted through. The pool spa heater didn't work, but there was a new one still in the box in the garage so I suppose it was on the to-do list. The owner could invest in new outdoor patio furniture. All minor issues that didn't affect our enjoyment of this home. We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider renting this home again next year.

Thank you for the review. Please come back and stay with us. The new guests did point out these things and they all have been taken care of. Pool heaters are shut off starting April 1

a guest from Croton on Hudson, NY recommends this vacation rental

A beautiful home that had just about everything my family and I were looking for in a beach house. Great location about a block and a half from the beach, and there's a nice little park down the street (along with a boardwalk into a nature preserve) that is great for small children. The only issue that I had was that apparently, the pool heater was running constantly (even though I had turned it off when no one was using the pool) and it caused the propane to run out far in advance of the end of our stay. The management company was aware of this 3 days before we were to leave, but never informed us until the day before our departure, and never pro-rated the $100 charge for pool heat. Aside from that, we had a great time.

  • Manager Responded on 2/12/2018

We are sorry about the pool heat. The propane normally lasts two weeks. Please contact us and we can work something out.

Two boys ages 2 and 4 could not get enough of the heated pool on our winter get away from MN with grandma and grandpa. Great home, short walk to the beach, with everything we needed. Allan (manager) was quick to reply to all of our needs during reservation and stay. Quiet neighborhood, with playgrounds within walking distance. Beautiful sunsets. Wish I lived here. We have traveled to this area for many years and enjoy it so much! We stay at different homes depending on how many family members go. For our group of 6, this was great! Would definitely go back to this well-kept, clean, well-stocked home!

Toucan Paradise is a perfect location for staying at the beach. The short, direct walk to the beach was handy for frequent trips to the Gulf. The house is very comfortable and clean (not a "5" since there were items under the bed and couch). The kitchen was missing some key supplies, but the rest of the house had everything we needed. We also appreciated the pool floats and limited beach supplies. The management company (specifically Alan) was very helpful and available. We will definitely choose to rent this property again and would recommend it to others.

Kathleen E from Bend, OR recommends this vacation rental

We enjoyed this property very much. Our grandkids loved the pool, bunk beds, and all of the beach and toys available. We loved the spaciousness of the house and the privacy around the pool area. We thought that there were a few too many reminders of what not to do and what to do to get all of the way comfortable. We understand that some people need those reminders, but it was a bit much. The furnishings were great. Some upkeep needs to be done on the door knobs heading to the pool as one handle was loose and another wouldn't work. We also enjoyed working with Alan. Nice guy! When we retire next year we would love to stay in the house for a month in the winter!

John P recommends this vacation rental

My wife and I like to run away several times a year from the state of Indiana to Florida, and on this trip we decided to bring our grandchildren (ages 16, 2 @7 and 1@ 5) for the first time, and I must say we had a blast. We typically stay at a condo in the Madeira Beach area on our trips, but after this trip, that will never happen again. Leasing of a house is the only way to go and Toucan Paradise couldn’t have been better. Initially, we were a bit concerned from the pictures posted on the web, but we said let’s do it, the kids will be fine. When we arrived, we both looked at one another as the size of the home seemed small, WOW, that change quickly. When we walked inside we couldn’t believe the space and everything that the house had to offer - looks are deceiving. I will say this, if you’re expecting this to be like your home, it’s not, it’s someone else’s home, enjoy it, kick back, relax, and respect the home. We live in a very large home, and we loved this place. Not having to go up and down in hot elevators, using grocery carts to move luggage etc., when staying at a condo, we will not miss. Everything from the size of the home, bed linen, towels, TV’s, pool, cleanliness and just overall comfortability was great. Also, we don’t care if we ever stay in the Madeira Beach area again. Indian Rocks Beach just seems to be a much more relaxed environment, again great get away. Also, you are going to pay more for a home with a pool closer to the beach, trust us its worth it. To the owners and management team for this house, we thank you. Some great memories were made with our grandchildren; we look forward to coming back.

We just returned from a weeks stay in the Toucan Paradise. Accommodations were great, including the most beautiful beach and sand. The house has a nice pool and a grill area. The office staff was very friendly and helpful providing suggestions on dining, transportation and rental information. The unit itself was stunning. It is not beach front so there are no views. but it was newly remodeled with a beachy feel, very clean and comfy. We loved the location. Easy walk to the the beach. The house is near some fun dining, shopping and ice cream and close to the bridge so easy access on and off the island. And you can catch the trolley to the business district right by.. We used this a lot to avoid traffic and parking. I would definitely recommend this vacation property!
