The Outback Bowl celebrates a milestone achievement - its 20th anniversary in Tampa Bay. While it's certainly not the oldest bowl game around, this college showdown has escalated to a top bowl in a relatively short period of time. For over 17 years, the Outback Bowl has brought together two of the nations most successful and popular conferences - the SEC and the Big Ten. Tampa-based Outback Steak House has been the title sponsor for the bowl for the past 11 years and has established one of the longest sponsor relationships in the industry. Once again in 2006, the Outback Bowl will be televised on ESPN and will bring a great deal of national exposure to the Tampa Bay area. The economic impact for the Bay area is an estimated $470 million and continues to bring college football fans into Tampa Bay from across the country.
