Clearwater Beach Pirate Ship Cruises

For kids ages four or five and older, Captain Memo's Original Pirate Cruise is an absolute can't miss activity. As we climbed onboard the big red pirate ship, kids are issued a pirate hat and a water pistol. After announcements ("You're not in school. That means you don't have to raise your hand and you can be as loud as you want!"), a water gun fight, some pirate yarns and the taking of the pirate oath (a promise not to tell the location of the treasure on pain of "eatin' worms and walkin' the plank"), the moonlit cruise ends with a very lively dance party on the deck. The kids love it.

Make sure you save some time to explore thearea, with its giant inflatable slides, bungee-harness rides and huge playground. A sunset celebration with live entertainment takes place here every night that the whole family will enjoy.

Kids don pirate hats, engaging in treasure hunts, water pistol fights, and line dancing with the crew. Mom and Dad can relax with complimentary wine, beer, soft drinks, and water while enjoying the slow ride (2 hours) up the Gulf channel to the mouth of the ocean. Expect to pay at least $35 per person.

The PIRATE'S RANSOM was custom designed and built to U.S. Coast Guard requirements for the owners in 1993.

The ship is equipped with all of the latest life saving equipment, including life jackets, life rafts, and ship-to-shore radio. Clean men's and women's restrooms are on board. It is also equipped with a professional sound system with a large variety of C.D. and cassette music for your listening pleasure.

The vessel is certified to carry 125 passengers. Its overall length is 70'5", beam 20'3", and draft of 5'5". The power is that of twin 671 Detroit Diesels 180 hp each with two Northern Lights 60 kw generators.
