Ironman Event in Clearwater Beach

Rent a house a few blocks from the start: The Ironman 70.3 Event Series, will call Clearwater, FL, home to its newest world championship event. Clearwater, a city that boasts some of America’s top beaches, will host more than 1,800 domestic and international athletes. Sand Key Park is the race start so any homes in Clearwater Beach both north and south, Inican Rocks Beach, Sand Key and Belleair Beach will be perfect locations to access the park and the race start. Outback Bowl

The Outback Bowl is a New Year’s Day college football game featuring the third pick from the Southeastern Conference and Big Ten Conference. The game is a culmination of a week-long schedule of events throughout the Tampa Bay area highlighted by a Beach Day in Clearwater and a New Year’s Eve parade and fireworks show in Ybor City.

Walt Disney World is just a 90 minute drive from Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg or 90 minute drive from Anna Maria Island. We recommend that guests try to visit any of the theme parks on weekdays to avoid the largest crowds.

Bottle nosed dolphins and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Clearwater is home to an abundance of bottle nosed dolphins. They are everywhere and easy to see any day of  the  year. Go on  a touristy boat ride like the Dolphin Encounter 727-442-7433 or just walk to the end of the Pier 60 at sunset or sunrise. Visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium for a look at a world class rehabilitation facility that assists injured local animals and offers camps and programs for children.
